Information for Nara & Nyko's Transport
Prior to Transport
ASAP
Please take the time to fill out our
Health Certificate Information FormComplete Qatar's Request for Carriage of Animal for Nyko & Nara. This should be done ASAP, and is required to be done at least 24 hours before the flight. Sooner is better to make sure they have room. Or if you would like, you can send me your booking confirmation and I will complete it. It can be a little tricky with bigger dogs and their 1.5x crate size regulations. You can find their guidance for Pets and how to measure hereNyko's Crate size is: L 122 cm x W 81 cm x H 91 cm
Nara's Crate size is: L 90 cm x W 61 cm x H 69 cmIf you put in the crate measurements and Nyko's measurements, and it gives you an error, you will need to shrink Nyko's measurements to fit. At the airport, they don't measure the pets and the crates, they just look to see if they have enough room.Information for Nara & Nyko's and AccessoriesI am gathering all of the items for their transport, however Nyko's crate from Amazon is on backorder. It is scheduled to be back in stock by August 28th. I will have everything ordered & made and shipped out to you by September 1st.Once you receive Nara & Nyko's crate, please find a place in your home to set them up and leave the door either open or the door off to begin with. (Also leave the wheels off, so it doesn't roll). Preferably in a common area that you spend time in. This will help them acclimate to it prior to transport.Playing YouTube videos of sounds of an airport will also help, turning them up loud when you are perhaps in another room once in a awhile. Another way to help get Nyko acclimated to some of the smells and sounds he will experience on his trip is to take him to a home improvement store, such as Lowes or Home Depot. Try to get him around some of the forklifts, as it's similar to what many airports use. You could also try this with Nara, if you are comfortable taking her out like that, maybe in a carrier or backpack.

Thailand is considered a high-risk rabies country. I would strongly suggest you get a new 3-year rabies vaccine for Nyko, prior to travel. Then have your Vet submit it to the USDA for endorsement. This will save a lot of time and money should you need to come back at any time in the next three years.
Unfortunately, we can not complete the Rabies Vaccine Endorsement form in our VEHCS system, it can only be done by an accredited Vet. We don't even have the option in our system. Instructions for your Vet are HEREForms Needed For Transport:

Tips for Travel
We suggest you pull Nara & Nyko's food approximately 4-6 hours prior to the trip and limit their water intack. This will help them feel more comfortable (and clean) during the flight.I will add more tips and tricks here, but right now I need to pack and get ready.
Arrival at BKK
After arriving at BKK, you will head to Baggage Claim, collect any bags and Nara & Nyko at Oversized Baggage, then go to the AQS Office by Carousel 8.There they will check the paperwork, scan Nara & Nyko's Microchips, and you will pay a 500 BAHT fee per pet (must be in cash - there is a money exchange at Doha across from the Oreo cafe or an ATM at baggage claim at BKK) to receive their R7 Approval for Import form. After that, head through "Items to Declare", show them the paperwork from AQS, pay another fee (this one can be done on credit card), then Nara & Nyko will be free to enter the country.
